Easyweigh™ Scale

Octagon provides specialized field data capture devices and accompanying software solutions to clients in the dairy and farm weighing sectors. We do this by deploying the EasyWeigh™ digital scale, an electronic field scale currently deployed in several tea companies in the region. We can also deploy digital flatbed scales or weighbridges to achieve the same level of efficiency as we do with the handheld scales.

The EasyWeigh™ Scale
The EasyWeigh is a rugged handheld battery-powered scale that operates in the field, recording all the field activities. The scale will capture details such as weight captured, which it was captured for, the operator, where it was captured, date and time.

Key features of the EasyWeigh™ scale include the following:
» Rugged for field use
» Compact, one compartment, design
» Uses rechargeable AA size batteries
» Separate battery charger and wireless data communication device connects the scale to the computer
» Security control by different password levels
» Once data or weighments are captured in the scale, it cannot be altered
» Full alphanumeric keypad
» Data once captured is transferred to the computer through specialized software designed internally at Octagon
» Data can be manipulated through any desirable application including spreadsheets and databases

The EasyWeigh™ scale can be used for any situation where field data includes a weighed record. A wide variety of weights and sensitivities are covered, including 5kgx1gm, 100kgx100gm.

Data collected through this wonder scale is taken, at the end of the day, to the office where it is downloaded into the master computer system. Downloading is a swift software driven operation that does not involve further manual interventions. The Easyweigh is customized to mimic exactly the field processes being computerized. If desired, an additional field computer may be introduced to re-engineer the operations even further.
